3. Jimmy Garoppolo effectively distributes the ball to his playmakers

I know it seems like we’re really lowering our standards here, but one thing that Jimmy Garoppolo does that has been sorely missing in Denver over the last few years is distributing the ball to his playmakers.

Going along with this, Garoppolo knows how to effectively execute the offense and although he’s had some bad turnovers in his career, he’s also got some stretches of really outstanding play.

The 49ers had four players with five or more receiving touchdowns in the 2021 season. Coaching and scheming has plenty to do with this, but Garoppolo was able to get the ball out to Deebo Samuel on time and on target enough for Samuel to catch 77 passes for over 1,400 yards and six receiving touchdowns.

San Francisco’s passing attack ultimately almost finished with three players reaching the 1,000-yard landmark, and they were number one in the NFL in red zone efficiency.

Those are the types of things that happen as a result of everyone being on the same page and that’s something the Denver Broncos simply have not had.

No, the Broncos don’t have Kyle Shanahan and his staff. What they do have, however, is a new coaching staff with people who have worked with Shanahan and some of his former assistants in recent years.

What they do have is an arsenal of offensive weapons ready to break out.

Maybe Garoppolo isn’t winning any MVP awards any time soon, but he might be able to improve the Denver Broncos’ offensive efficiency and actually distribute the ball to the team’s outstanding young skill position talent.
