Denver Broncos older free agents to target: Chandler Jones

This just in: the Denver Broncos have a huge need at EDGE.  Bradley Chubb has had troubles staying healthy, and while Malik Reed and Jonathon Cooper are nice pieces, they may never be starting material.

In comes Chandler Jones, a future Hall of Fame EDGE rusher.  Jones may be one of the most underrated players in the entire NFL.  His stats back up just how dominant he’s been.

In 10 seasons, he has 107.5 total regular season sacks.  That’s an average of 10.75 sacks per year.

Von Miller, in 11 seasons, has 115.5 total sacks, which is 10.5 sacks per year.

So, just on raw numbers, Chandler Jones gets to the quarterback more often than Von Miller. What’s also very interesting about Jones is he doesn’t appear to be losing steam.

While he missed most of 2020 with an injury, he came back in 2021 with 10.5 sacks in 15 games.

Some team will give Jones a two-year, lucrative deal, and I hope the Broncos jump on it.

Jones is a power rusher who also has great speed off the edge.  He’s a complete package and would give the Denver Broncos a sensational EDGE duo with Chubb and Jones.
