Denver Broncos ranking top five 2022 NFL Draft quarterbacks
With a new head coach in the fold and the staff soon to follow, the Denver Broncos attention turns to finding the next quarterback to lead the team.
Ever since Hall of Fame Peyton Manning rode off into the sunset it’s been an exhausting and trying adventure in finding the next great quarterback for the Denver Broncos.
There are multiple avenues the team can go. It seems likely Denver will turn to the veteran route; however, the draft remains a respectable option for the team to chase. Denver must exhaust all options on the table before coming to the most important decision aside from ownership.
The 2022 NFL Draft this year has many wild cards, but it takes just one team to choose the desired option. Denver’s drafting has not exactly been ideal since Manning left either. Aside from first-rounder Paxton Lynch and second-rounder Drew Lock, the Broncos have not been aggressive in terms of searching for a quarterback in the draft.
The most successful in the draft has been Trevor Siemian who happened to be a seventh-round draft pick. Siemian is arguably the best quarterback to wear a Broncos uniform since Manning.
It still comes down to Denver, George Paton, and new head coach Nathaniel Hackett falling in love with a quarterback from this 2022 NFL Draft class. Wild cards bring questions and intrigue. Also ranking the top five quarterbacks for this year is something that might fluctuate from February to April based solely on Senior Bowl to NFL Combine. One of the biggest selling points for quarterbacks is in-person player interviews and top-30 visits with those prospects.
How does this class rank in my opinion? Let’s check it out.
