Travis Jones, DL, Connecticut

Travis Jones probably improved his draft stock at the Senior Bowl more than anyone there.

Like Penning on the offensive line, Jones is an absolute animal on the interior of the defensive line and was just dominating opponents in Senior Bowl practices.

While interior defensive line may not be the Broncos’ biggest priority with Shelby Harris and Dre’Mont Jones on the roster, there isn’t much behind those two players, and if the Broncos could bring this guy into that rotation, look out.

It’s easy to have overlooked Jones last season as he played on a 1-11 Huskies team, but he has the ability to shine at the next level and that was on display down in Mobile.

At 6-foot-5 and 330 pounds, Jones comes with the size and strength that you are looking for at this position. But for a man that size, he will absolutely catch you off guard with his quickness and that is what will lead to trouble for guards and centers who aren’t ready for that lethal combination.

This is another player who, if he is still on the board in the second round, would be nearly impossible to pass up.
