It’s a new offseason, but it will feature the same Aaron Rodgers story as the last one.

Just what will be the fate of the Green Bay Packers quarterback? Will he retire? Will he return to Green Bay? Or will he play for another team?

All of these are possibilities and the speculation will run rampant until a direction for the future Hall of Fame quarterback becomes clear. Former Packers quarterback Brett Favre, who Rodgers replaced, doesn’t seem to think his former teammate’s career will continue with the Packers.

That’s leaves retirement or playing somewhere else. While retirement is possible, Rodgers can still play the game at a very high level and could be named the league’s Most Valuable Player for the second year in a row soon.

But make no mistake, if Rodgers is to play for another team, Denver seems to be the place most think he will end up, especially with the team hiring his former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, as its new head coach.

However, if Rodgers does become available, there are sure to be other teams looking to land him, much like when Peyton Manning became a free agent. The Broncos won that bidding war because Manning could help them contend for a Super Bowl, which Rodgers will be looking for.

Of course, Green Bay could trade him wherever they like, but he’s not likely to accept a trade to a place such as Washington or Carolina as those teams could need years to become legitimate contenders. He would likely walk away from the game before accepting that trade.

Though Denver makes sense for Rodgers, he could see these four teams as great landing spots as well.
