Trade package involving other quarterbacks or draft picks

You knew this one was coming. Could the Denver Broncos include Drew Lock in a trade package with the Green Bay Packers for Aaron Rodgers? Sure they could. In fact, it would surprise me if that trade did not include Lock.

If the Packers do trade Rodgers, they will want a quarterback in return. It does not appear that Jordan Love is in their plans, at least not yet.

Lock does have talent and under the right coaching staff, could be awesome. The Packers have some solid receiving options excluding Davante Adams (assuming he’s part of a trade, too). Green Bay as Marquez Valdez-Scantling, Randall Cobb, and Alan Lazar. Also, there is former Broncos seventh-round receiver Juwann Winfree.

The Packers have a young head coach in Matt LaFleur, who has been a quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator throughout most of his coaching career.

If a Rodgers-to-Denver trade did go down, as many people have linked to, it could include another weapon from the Denver Broncos, such as tight end Noah Fant. Both Lock and Fant have seemed to have a strong connection while both coming into the league at the same time.

A change of scenery could do wonders for a player like Drew Lock. Green Bay, Wisconsin could be the ideal destination to help extend his career. He may just not have their top weapon to throw to if that trade were to go down.

Who knows? If Rodgers doesn’t end up being traded to the Broncos, the Seattle Seahawks are another potential landing spot in a Russell Wilson trade.
