Denver Broncos 2022 mock draft with surprise QB on top
Denver Broncos mock draft, rounds 6-7
6. Tyler Badie, RB, Missouri
Again I will say — I’m a huge proponent of the Denver Broncos using multiple picks in this year’s draft on the running back position.
Especially moving to a one-cut system and with the NFL moving to 17 regular season games (potentially 18 or more in the future), you’ve got to have outstanding depth at running back.
And frankly, you never know when one of these picks is just going to hit and be awesome.
Tyler Badie was outstanding this past season at Missouri not only as a running back but as a receiver, catching 54 passes out of the backfield.
He’s not as big as Javonte Williams or Tyler Allgeier, so he offers a bit of a contrast in style as well.
7. Danny Gray, WR, SMU
Dart throws, dart throws, dart throws.
I love day three of the NFL Draft because you can take risks on players and talent at positions that you really don’t need guys at in the moment.
Danny Gray is going to show out this offseason at his pro day and the Combine and I think he would be a fun pickup for the Broncos to draft and stash, even though they have a few of those guys already.
I am a huge fan of always growing the wide receiver room, in particular.
In two seasons at SMU, Gray had 15 total touchdowns and over 1,300 yards from scrimmage. He’s a playmaker.
