Houston Texans a possible destination for Teddy Bridgewater depending on Deshaun Watson’s legal situation.

The Houston Texans need serious help at the quarterback position going forward if Deshaun Watson’s time with the team is up, and it very well could be. That will obviously depend on the results of the lawsuits that are against him.

The Texans went 4-13 this season without Watson. Instead, they had rookie Davis Mills start 11 of his 13 games played as well as Tyrod Taylor who started six. While the hope is that Mills could end up being the long-term starter there in Houston, it might be beneficial for the Texans to bring in a guy like Bridgewater to, much like with Washington, help the young guys get things going.

The Texans currently don’t have a head coach after firing David Culley after just one year, and there are things that will have to be decided before the team even sniffs around Bridgewater but I think under the circumstances the Texans are in now, Bridgewater could be a legitimate option.

Houston had one wide receiver pretty much take over for the team in 2021: Brandin Cooks, who caught 90 passes for 1,037 yards and six touchdowns. No other receiver on the team exceeded 33 receptions nor 450 receiving yards.

Bridgewater could potentially help spread the ball around more and get the team’s tight ends and running back more involved.
