Indianapolis Colts could try and beat the Denver Broncos in Rodgers deal

The Indianapolis Colts had Peyton Manning for the majority of their career. Pre-Manning Indianapolis had Johnny Unitas. The Colts boast two illustrious quarterbacks who brought the team to more highs than lows. Not to be forgotten is the Colts’ courtship of Phillip Rivers before retirement.

This is not the first time the team would be interested in a quarterback of high regard. Rodgers is also a better player at the position than Rivers and makes the Colts the team to beat in the AFC South instantly.

Rodgers would join a unit bolstering a running game featuring a potential MVP candidate in Jonathan Taylor. Taylor quickly emerged as a threat out of the backfield. Coming from Wisconsin it became an easy transition for the young buck to be the best running back in the NFL in a short time. Rodgers would feel comfortable knowing he has a dynamic player in Taylor a lot like Aaron Jones in Green Bay.

Lastly is a good, not great, wide receiver corps. That said with Aaron Rodgers, it would become great with his ability to make everyone around him better. A wide receiver corps led by Michael Pittman Jr. and the veteran T.Y. Hilton would bring stability for them.

The Colts would have a deep threat in a Hilton and a big body wideout in Pittman with Rodgers that could be a solid duo.
