Broncos FA who should be gone no. 3: Teddy Bridgewater, QB

Under no circumstances should Teddy Bridgewater be back with the team.  Statistically, he was the best QB we’ve had since Peyton Manning, but it’s clear that the stats are misleading.

Teddy throws behind the sticks at a historically frequent rate and was unable to involve the Broncos’ plethora of pass-catchers in the offense, specifically Jerry Jeudy.

Bridgewater was seen as a distributor of the football, and it’s clear that never got done in Denver.

Even if the Broncos draft a quarterback and want to develop him, Teddy should not be the guy to assist in that.  I would personally rather keep Drew Lock in this case, or simply sign a different veteran who can actually distribute the ball better.

The Teddy Bridgewater experiment in Denver was a giant failure, and the team should not try to continue to keep it alive.

The Denver Broncos are set to have a very busy offseason.  George Paton has money to spend and draft capital as well.

Hopefully, the team makes smart decisions when it comes to retaining free agents and letting the appropriate ones leave.
