The Denver Broncos are set to have a good amount of free agents, but will the new head coach factor into which free agents return?

While the Denver Broncos try and hire a new head coach, two big events still loom in the near future: free agency and the 2022 NFL Draft.

Free agency happens in a couple of months, and the Denver Broncos will have around $50 million in cap space to work with.  However, as we know, not every free agent will return.  Some new faces will be brought in, and some players will come back as well.

The new head coach might factor into which free agents return or not, but I think there are some who will and won’t return, regardless of which head coach the Broncos hire.

The Denver Broncos will obviously have free agents on both sides of the ball, and I believe we as fans want to see a few of these free agents return to the team.

Denver Broncos Free Agents Who Should be Back, Regardless of Head Coach

1. Bryce Callahan, CB

Bryce Callahan is great.  While his injury history is extensive, Callahan is still one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.  I get that his time in the NFL has come playing under Vic Fangio, but I’m willing to bet that Callahan can excel regardless of scheme

Callahan, who will be 31 during the 2022 season, isn’t someone who can be relied on to play a full season, but he also won’t be expensive either, and the Broncos are still needing to keep a stacked secondary.

Who knows, maybe Callahan, at this stage of his career, does not want to begin to sign one-year deals with different teams every year?

Whatever he is thinking, he is uber-talented, and the Broncos need to re-sign him.
