Denver Broncos Coaching Candidates Surprisingly Left off List

Other candidates that have not been on the Broncos radar so far have been Byron Leftwich, who is the offensive coordinator of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Leftwich has been an offensive coordinator for 4 seasons now, and has a track record of success, most notably working with Tom Brady and the defending Super Bowl champions.

Another candidate that the Broncos should be considering is Jim Caldwell.

Caldwell is very highly regarded around the NFL as a culture guy and someone who the players respect.  Caldwell managed a winning record as head coach of the Detroit Lions from 2014-2017.  For some reason, the Lions fired Caldwell.

He had three winning seasons in his four years as head coach, and now the Lions are relying on an actor-fake-tough-guy Dan Campbell to turn the franchise around.

Caldwell is not a long-term head coaching option like some of the candidates that the Denver Broncos have requested to interview, but rather someone who is able to change the culture of the team, and revive them back to respectability.

Being that the Broncos have been irrelevant for over a half-decade now, it would make sense to give Jim Caldwell a look.
