The 2022 offseason is soon approaching, and the Denver Broncos are set to be active players in it, as they try to retain some of their players, sign other free agents, and perhaps make key free-agent signings.
The Denver Broncos will perhaps be the most active team when the 2022 offseason kicks off. They could hire a new head coach and staff, re-sign a plethora of their own pending free agents, sign other free agents, and make a trade for a quarterback, all before the NFL Draft begins.
With that being said, Predominantly Orange is the best site to reference as the offseason begins.
All of the writers have their own opinions, and the content that’ll be produced will be significant.
I have compiled a small list of free agents that I would like the Denver Broncos to sign going into the 2022 season.
This list does not include the team’s own free agents, but rather free agents from other teams.
George Paton has clearly had no issue spending his team’s cap space. He’s extended Justin Simmons, Shelby Harris, Courtland Sutton, and Tim Patrick. He also gave a $30 million contract to Ronald Darby, gave $8 million to Kyle Fuller, and will surely be ready to re-sign some of the team’s pending free agents.
Below is a list of my personal free-agent wish list for the 2022 NFL season.
2022 Free Agent Wishlist
1. Mark Glowinski, G, Indianapolis Colts
The Denver Broncos, once again, have needs along the offensive line. Dalton Risner has regressed since his promising 2019 rookie season, and I’m not sure his long-term outlook on this team is very favorable.
For that reason, I want the Broncos to sign Mark Glowinski, who is part of the best offensive line unit in the NFL as a member of the Indianapolis Colts. Glow, as he is sometimes known, is finishing up a three-year contract extension he signed with the Colts.
Glowinski is not an elite guard, but he, along with Quenton Nelson, have combined to form the NFL’s best guard duo.
In 2021, he has only committed two penalties and has allowed just two sacks.
Glowinski would provide a considerable upgrade over Dalton Risner, who seems to struggle quite a bit in pass protection.
While Risner still may be seen as a starter to some teams, his regression since 2019 is noticeable, and the Broncos should look to upgrade his spot.
