Denver Broncos head coach watchlist: Brian Daboll, OC, Bills

Brian Daboll rightfully gets a lot of credit for the great success Josh Allen has had in his first four years in the NFL.

Allen was considered a massive project coming out of Wyoming, which was a big reason the Denver Broncos didn’t take him with their top pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

Instead, Allen wound up with Daboll and the Bills, and they have molded Allen and his strong arm into a legitimate MVP candidate.

He hasn’t quite been able to match his insane 2020 production so far this season, but that was to be expected. Daboll and Allen are still leading one of the NFL’s most dangerous offensive attacks:

Daboll will be 47 next year and he’s already had a ton of success in the NFL and at the college level as an assistant. He’s a five-time Super Bowl champion and one-time college football National Champion as an assistant coach and quite frankly, it’s shocking that he doesn’t yet have a job in the NFL as someone’s head coach.

Daboll’s ability to put Allen — an erratic passer coming into the league — in prime position to succeed and lead one of the NFL’s best offenses is the biggest notch on his belt to date.
