Can Aaron Rodgers save the Denver Broncos in 2022?

Aaron Rodgers would make the Denver Broncos the best team in the NFL, were he to join the roster.

Heck, I think you could legitimately say that about three or four of the guys on this list, with the only exceptions being Baker Mayfield and Kirk Cousins.

Any of the other three guys on this list being added to the Broncos’ roster in 2022 would put this team in title contention instantly.

That cannot be overstated and is not an exaggeration.

This Denver Broncos’ roster is good, and a player like Aaron Rodgers would take it to the next level.

The guy just won MVP in 2020 with no offseason, at least not a normal one. He looks like he could very well win another MVP in 2021 without participating in the offseason, for the first time in his career by choice.

Rodgers may be the most likely star QB to be on the move in 2022 and there have already been a variety of reports about his interest in Denver.

It’s going to be easy for Denver Broncos fans to get their hopes up about this possibility but it’s crucial to temper expectations, at least slightly.

Rodgers doesn’t have to leave Green Bay, but can if he wants to. The Packers are in horrible shape in terms of the salary cap, but there are always ways around that if need be.

The fact of the matter is, the Broncos could afford to trade for Rodgers and bring a bunch of friends with him to Denver with their available cap space.

Will we see this happen? Who knows? It feels like such a dream scenario, but as we saw in 2012 with Peyton Manning, dreams do sometimes come true.

Getting Aaron Rodgers would almost undoubtedly end with this team hoisting a Lombardi Trophy. If not, at least the Broncos would be back in that conversation. Rodgers is still playing at a ridiculously high level with zero signs of slowing down at all.

Whether it’s Aaron Rodgers or someone else, the Denver Broncos and general manager George Paton have to pull out all the stops to get a legit QB in the building in 2022 as quickly as possible.
