3 ways Jerry Jeudy can get involved against Raiders

3. Quick Pass Game/Bubble Screens

Another easy way Shurmur can get Jeudy involved, especially early in the game, is the quick pass game and bubble screens.

The Broncos rarely run any screens and if they do, it is usually for the running back. But, there was this one game on Sunday night that Denver played in and they played the divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs.

It wasn’t necessarily a bubble screen, but it was a screen for Jeudy down the left sideline. He broke off into the flat as Tim Patrick and Sutton were blocking for him. It eventually got called back for offensive pass interference but the play had some promise to it.

Shurmur can utilize this in the game to get Jeudy into a rhythm early.

Another play that stands out is recently against the Detroit Lions when Jeudy converted on fourth down to extend the drive. It was as simple as Jeudy doing a slant and breaking the defender’s ankles. He went on to go for 20 yards on that simple, quick pass from Bridgewater.

If Shurmur wants to win this pivotal game, he needs to get Jerry Jeudy involved early and often. If it were me, Jeudy needs to have 10 total touches in the game. It is very possible, considering the jet sweeps, quick passing game, screens, and more vertical routes.
