Christmas Wish List for the Denver Broncos

2. Re-sign at least two linebackers

The Broncos were almost in deep trouble after both Alexander Johnson and Josey Jewell each went down with a torn pectoral muscle, ending their 2021 seasons.

Since then, the Broncos have used a plethora of linebacking combinations, but those who have stuck out are Kenny Young and Baron Browning.

The team has also seen solid play from Jonas Griffith.

All of Johnson, Jewell, Young, and Griffith will be free agents at the end of the season, and I want the Broncos to bring at least two of them back.

It would be awesome if Paton could bring all of them back, but I’m not sure how likely that would be, considering the team has many other free agents.

My personal choice for the two would be Alexander Johnson and Kenny Young, but a case can be made for each player.

Re-signing the right linebackers would also allow the Broncos more draft flexibility.  Filling the LB hole before the draft begins allows the Broncos to draft other positions.
