The Miracle at Mile High

You didn’t think we were going to leave out the play that defined the career of Demaryius Thomas, did you?

Though the memories around the great DT are bittersweet right now, this one is such a fun moment to relive. Watch it again here.

On the first play of overtime against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2011 Wild Card round, Tim Tebow delivered a screen pass to Thomas, who hauled it at the 40. Fans may have expected the chains to move, and the play to end there.

But it didn’t.

DT kept going. Thomas at the 50.

Then the 40.

30.

20.

10.

“Denver’s going on to New England!”

This memory is sure to give Broncos Country goosebumps and easily goes down as one of the most thrilling finishes in franchise history. In fact, it likely is the most thrilling.

And that day, a young and up-and-coming receiver by the name of Demaryius Thomas put himself on the map and showed the NFL he was going to be a force to be reckoned with.

And, as they say, the rest is history, with a lot of records going down in Broncos franchise history along the way.
