Denver Broncos bold prediction vs. Lions: Team will have a 100-yard receiver

Is this really a “bold” prediction?

Well, a 100-yard receiver hasn’t happened since Courtland Sutton in Week 5 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

It’s not like the Broncos have come all that close, either.

Noah Fant had 97 receiving yards in the team’s loss to the Raiders back in Week 6. Tim Patrick is the next closest since that with 85 yards in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys.

With the weapons on this offense, there’s no excuse for the Denver Broncos to not have a 100-yard receiver on a weekly basis.

Early in the season, they seemed to be really emphasizing getting the ball to one of their plethora of targets on a weekly basis, changing it up week to week. Lately, the passing game has just been abysmal.

In accordance with the earlier prediction of a high completion rate from Teddy Bridgewater, I’m going to go out on a limb and say that a wide receiver reaches 100 yards in this game. Or a tight end, for that matter.

Baby steps.
