During Monday Night Football’s Manningcast with Peyton and Eli, Joe Buck took the chance to take a shot at the former Denver Broncos quarterback.

Memories of Super Bowl XLVIII  between the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks just won’t go away. Everybody will remember that forgettable (for the Broncos) game in which the Broncos fell to Seattle by a final score of 43-8.

The memory came back on Monday Night Football when commentator Joe Buck appeared on Manningcast with Peyton Manning and Eli Manning as a guest.

Peyton asked Buck when he and Troy Aikman ever have games that end up being blowouts if he ever wished they’d have guests appearing on the network (exactly like what we see with Manningcast).

Buck took the opportunity to say that he thought about it when the Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks squared off in that Super Bowl following the 2015 season.

That game must still hurt for some players, especially players whose only Super Bowl appearance was that unfortunate memory.

I remember watching the game in complete disbelief. It started out with center Manny Ramirez snapping the football over Peyton Manning’s head on the very first play of the game. If that wasn’t painful enough, the entire game just didn’t go as planned for the Broncos, except for a single touchdown and a 2-point conversion.

The funniest part of the exchange was Manning being shocked about what he heard from Buck. “Trying to get on Eli’s good list; Trying to get my mom to send you a Christmas card after all the abuse you’ve given Eli. I get it. I get it. You’re smarter than you look!”

At the end of the day, this exchange is yet another funny exchange that has occurred on Manningcast since it began earlier this season. I personally have moved on from that game and I hope that others have or will soon.
