Have the Denver Broncos found stability at right tackle?

3. Bobby Massie, right tackle

As Lou Scataglia already wrote, the Denver Broncos need to make sure they don’t let a good one get away with Bobby Massie solidifying that right tackle position.

Since coming over as a cap casualty from the Chicago Bears, Bobby Massie has been excellent for the Denver Broncos and has solidified a true problem area for the team.

At the age of 32 going on 33 next year, Massie is not old for the tackle position where players are playing well into their mid-late 30s these days.

He has some injury history, so you can’t break the bank by any means, but he deserves a second contract in Denver, and having him in the fold for 2022 would fill a huge need on this team.

Calvin Anderson has restricted free agent status, so signing Massie to a one- or two-year deal and keeping Anderson on the RFA tender would give the Broncos their top three tackles for next season, likely at a pretty reasonable cost to the team.

Although re-signing Massie shouldn’t prevent Denver from drafting someone at tackle if the right guy falls to them, I think obviously this is a move that has to be made as Massie has been a very underrated addition to this team.
