Another underrated player the Denver Broncos should re-sign

2. Eric Saubert, tight end

This kind of re-signing may not generate a ton of hype or make big headlines, but Saubert has been an impactful player.

Coming over on a one-year deal, he’s made an impact on special teams, as a blocker in the running game, and more recently as a receiver, catching a crucial touchdown pass in a goal-to-go situation against the Los Angeles Chargers.

Saubert is still a younger, athletic option at the tight end position who gives the Broncos really nice depth at the position and is someone the team can rely on in their special teams packages.

He’ll be 28 next season, so figuring out some kind of fair deal over the course of the next one or two seasons seems reasonable.

Give Saubert another chance in 2022 to prove that he can take the next step in his game. Especially if the Broncos make a big move at the quarterback position, this seems like the type of guy who could come in and be like a Joel Dreesen type of impact player who just consistently gives you good, valuable snaps.
