Denver Broncos 2022 mock draft – Day three picks

4. Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa

Still with some eligibility, it wouldn’t be a shock to see Campbell return to the Hawkeyes program in 2022, but he could also cash in after this year and head off to the NFL where he should be picked in the top-100 or very close to it.

Campbell has size, range, and very good productivity as a three-down linebacker. He looks like he’ll be a longtime starter in the NFL.

5a (from Lions): Alontae Taylor, DB, Tennessee

Alontae Taylor was once a big-time recruit in the state of Tennessee who has been solid throughout his Vols career. A leader who transitioned early on from receiver to cornerback, he’s the type of dart throw on day three that George Paton took a lot of in 2021.

5b. Boye Mafe, EDGE, Minnesota

I really like the upside of Boye Mafe, especially on day three of the Draft. I think this guy is going to destroy the Combine or pre-draft workout process, and with his production the last two years, he should be a player NFL teams covet.

A team captain with some twitch, it will be fun to see him work at the 2022 Senior Bowl.

6 (from Eagles): Christian Watson, WR, North Dakota State

Watching a lot of Trey Lance last year, it was impossible not to notice his top receiver, Christian Watson.

Watson is a 6-foot-5 playmaker on the outside who is also an All-American as a kickoff returner. I love the high upside wide receiver play on day three.

7a. Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Nebraska

Another high character team captain with some positional versatility, Cam Taylor-Britt would be a great dart throw on day three of the 2021 NFL Draft who had a whopping four forced fumbles in 2019. He has 10 career tackles for loss and five interceptions for the Huskers defense.

7b. Brant Kuithe, TE, Utah

Brant Kuithe had a huge 2019 season before only playing in four games in 2020. He’s been back in a big way for the Utes in 2021 with six touchdowns already, matching his total from 2019, as well as a rushing touchdown. He’s a fun, versatile offensive weapon.
