Denver Broncos add an RB2 to dominate with Javonte Williams

3a. Kyren Williams, RB, Notre Dame

Another running back?

Yes, another running back.

Let’s not forget that Melvin Gordon is not under contract beyond the 2021 season. While I think many in Broncos Country would agree that bringing back Gordon at the right price would be a sensible move, what is the “right price” for a veteran running back who will be splitting time with Javonte Williams, if not Javonte taking the lion’s share of snaps in 2022 and beyond?

If the Broncos don’t bring back Melvin Gordon, Kyren Williams with their first pick in round three would be highway robbery.

When he was with the Vikings, George Paton and Rick Spielman spent plenty of top-100 selections on the running back position.

Kyren Williams has three-down versatility not just as a receiver but as a pass protector.

His skills on third down will earn him an immediate role in the NFl and keep the Broncos’ two-headed attack going strong into the future.
