4. What if Jay Cutler was never traded to the Chicago Bears?

While many can argue that Cutler had a productive career, many can agree that how head coach Josh McDaniels handled the quarterback was less than great.

McDaniels attempted to trade for quarterback Matt Cassel to replace Cutler, who had just made his first and only Pro Bowl, to no avail. This didn’t sit well with the disgruntled quarterback and he demanded a trade. His wish was granted and was dealt to the Chicago Bears for Kyle Orton and multiple draft picks.

In a separate timeline, Cutler and McDaniels had worked out their issues and the Broncos were led the following year by the Vanderbilt product. Cutler would have a respectable season for Denver, building off his previous season, throwing for 4,000 yards and 30 touchdowns, resulting in his second consecutive Pro Bowl and a 10-6 record.

Although the playoffs will continue to get the better of Cutler, as he never can lead the team to the Super Bowl and is released following the 2017 season.
