3. The Denver Broncos must continue letting their rookies eat

The Denver Broncos’ dominating win over the Dallas Cowboys was, hopefully, more of a sign of things to come than just a blip on the radar.

What was most impressive about that game against Dallas? George Paton’s first rookie class.

From top to bottom, nearly everyone drafted by the Broncos in 2021 made substantial contributions in that game, and it was glorious to see.

Even though he wound up leaving the game with a knee injury, Pat Surtain II was doing his part to help shut down the Dallas offense.

Second-round pick Javonte Williams had a 100-yard rushing game against Dallas.

Third-round picks Quinn Meinerz (right guard) and Baron Browning (linebacker) started and gave Broncos Country confidence that they could be long-term starters for the team.

Fifth-round pick Caden Sterns got an interception off of Dak Prescott.

Seventh-round pick Jonathon Cooper was one of the most impactful players in the game and was constantly putting pressure on Prescott.

More of that after the bye, please.

The Denver Broncos clearly have a very talented rookie class and they need to make sure all of these players continue to get opportunities and progress.
