Dan Quinn a head coach candidate for the Broncos?

2. Dan Quinn (Cowboys DC)

There may not be many in Broncos Country who would be fans of both a retread and a defensive-minded head coach, but Dan Quinn is a similar option to Doug Pederson in some ways.

Quinn has made a ton of connections through the years, and has a ring as the defensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks. He also came within a couple of late collapses of winning two more Super Bowls as DC of the Seahawks (2014) and head coach of the Atlanta Falcons (2016).

Quinn has had a lot of success and unlike many other candidates on this list, he’s been to the Super Bowl as a head coach.

That doesn’t guarantee he will get there again, but Quinn knows how to call a defense and he would be able to bring a very good offensive coordinator candidate along with him to Denver.

Not to mention, there’s history between Dan Quinn and George Paton

As a matter of fact, Quinn worked in Miami from 2005-06 and Paton was there at that time in the front office as a Director of Pro Personnel.

Quinn is doing an outstanding job helping turn around the Dallas Cowboys’ defense this year and he’s a no-brainer candidate if the Broncos want to get a coach with a proven track record in the building.
