Bradley Chubb, Linebacker

Yes, this may be the worst culprit on the list. Bradley Chubb has been nearly non-existent, again.

Now that Von Miller has been shipped off to the Los Angeles Rams, Chubb’s return to the lineup will be hyped by the media and some fans. We should save it, because there’s no real reason to count on this guy.

Chubb has played in just one game this season and he got injured in that one after less than 20 defensive snaps. He has all of one tackle on the season.

When he is healthy, he has the ability to be a good pass-rusher. I’ll stop short of saying great or game-changing. He can be good. But being healthy has been a problem for him in his short career and as a result, Malik Reed, who was undrafted, has been a more valuable asset to the team.

Now that Miller is gone, Chubb may be even less of a force because teams won’t have to worry about Miller’s presence. Though, that was never a huge worry because the two linebackers hardly ever played together at the same time.

Chubb has a lot of catching up to do when he retakes the field.
