Week 17 at Los Angeles Chargers

The Chargers will be playing for something at this point in the season and the Broncos won’t. The Chargers are also going to have the earlier defeat at the hands of the Broncos fresh in their mind for this one.

Herbert will go off in this game and it will be one final example of just how bad Vic Fangio and his coaching staff are. The Broncos will have no answers for a team looking to make a big playoff run.

Prediction: Chargers 34, Broncos 10

Record: 6-10

Week 18 vs. Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are just going to end the Broncos’ 2021 misery here, right? Maybe not.

The Broncos have to end 2021 on a high note, even if it’s another season without the playoffs. The home crowd will be hungry for a win and they’ll want to see the team finally end its losing streak to the Chiefs.

Depending on how the rest of the season goes for Kansas City, they could be in a variety of different positions at this point. But if they have also been eliminated from postseason contention, they may not have a vested interest in a win here anyway.

The losing streak against the Chiefs will end at 12 games, but it won’t be enough to save Fangio, who will be relieved of his duties the following day.

Prediction: Broncos 20, Chiefs 17

Final record: 7-10
