With the Von Miller trade, George Paton is not the one to blame, it is Vic Fangio for the recent failures he has had with the Denver Broncos.

Instead of “Victory Monday” for Broncos Country, it feels like Denver is coming off a tremendous loss after the recent news that hit Monday morning.

It was reported that the Denver Broncos are trading away former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for a second and third-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

There was speculation of Miller being traded but many, including myself, refused to even think such a thing. Well, George Paton made it happen.

With this blockbuster trade getting finalized there are many wondering who to point the blame to. Is it Paton? John Elway? Who may it be?

There is one person to blame for future Hall of Famer Von Miller being traded and that is Head Coach Vic Fangio.

Vic Fangio is the one who made this possible, unfortunately. Whether you want to believe it or not, it is true.

Fangio had multiple chances of making this not even happen. It all started against the Baltimore Ravens.

Winning cures everything. Everyone should know that and Fangio is incompetent at winning football games that are very winnable. From having the team not prepared against the Ravens to the blown game against the Steelers, to the embarrassing loss to the Raiders, Fangio has successfully lost this locker room and by doing that, the franchise guy is now out of the building.

Paton should not be in the wrong in this situation. If anything, he is in the right in this situation.

As the general manager, he gave everything Fangio has asked of him. Every piece to the puzzle was Paton going out of his way to get all the necessary pieces for Fangio to be successful, and that has not panned out.

Business-wise, this was a great deal for Paton and the Broncos too. Getting a second and third-round pick for Miller is a great value. It may seem odd but it is. They added more draft capital and this might be more ammunition to pursue a trade for a QB this off-season.

Paton was also handling this really well with Miller and was always in constant communication with him on this deal. This was reported by Albert Breer and it just values how much Miller meant to the Broncos and Paton acknowledging that.

So to sum all of this up, Fangio’s inability to win games with a roster that is fit to win a lot of ball games is the reason why Broncos Country is suffering today.

If this coaching staff was able to beat the Steelers in which they lost the game and beat the Browns without any of their starters and be 6-2 instead of 4-4, Miller would still be a Bronco.

But that is not the case.

Instead, the Denver Broncos are .500 while almost losing at home to the Washington Football Team while putting up 17 points against a defense that is dead last against the pass.

None of the fans or players deserve the pain they are feeling with Miller being traded out of town but this is what it has come down to.

The season is not over as the Broncos are 0.5 games back of second place in the AFC West and back to .500. It may seem like the season is on a downward spiral, but there are still many opportunities for this team.

The only thing is if anyone has faith in Fangio and this coaching staff after running out one of the most beloved players in Broncos history.

The Broncos travel down to Dallas to face the Cowboys and will look to win its’ first game without Von Miller on the team.
