What to Watch For

“Must Win” for Both Teams

As much as the Denver Broncos need to win this game to put their season on the right track, the Washington Football Team is in the same boat. Though just 2-5, a win for the Football Team today keeps the team in a potential playoff picture. As the Football Team will head into a bye following this matchup, they will finish their season playing just three teams as of this moment with a winning record, and would already hold a tiebreaker over the Atlanta Falcons for a Wild Card spot.

Of course, this feels like a reach for this sputtering football team plagued by off-field drama and on-field struggles, but with the Denver Broncos losing a Browns squad starting numerous backups, anything feels possible with this one.

The Return of the Jerry

One key positive for today is the expected return of Jerry Jeudy, just weeks after sustaining a serious high ankle sprain. Jeudy could bring back some much needed productivity to this offense that has struggled to score in the past four weeks.

While Bridgewater had talented receivers such as Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick at his disposal, of course, Jerry Jeudy brings a speed and physicality that the team needs to have on the field. We do not need to remind fans of Jeudy’s top notch route running, but his ability to create separation against defenders could be an X factor in today’s matchup and in the coming weeks.
