Denver Broncos vs. Washington Football Team: Week 8 Preview
Could Von Miller Be Traded In 2021?
It has been a tumultuous week and a half for future Hall of Famer Von Miller. After sustaining an ankle injury in the loss against the Browns, his status for today’s game is still questionable.
Not only is Von injured, but his status of his future with the Denver Broncos is unknown with reports speculating that teams may make a run at Von before Tuesday’s trade deadline. While Broncos Country certainly hopes that the arguably best defensive player in team history’s time with Denver could end in 2021, the move would be realistic if the front office may be coming to terms with the fact that this team is in bigger need of a rebuild than suspected.
As the deadline approaches, this is certainly a developing story to keep an eye on.
Negative PR?
Though the Washington Football Team looks as if it is going to put together a mediocre season in 2021, their performance continues to be overlooked by off-field distractions, especially with the news of Jon Gruden’s firing in the wake of an email scandal involving the Washington Football Team’s former president, Bruce Allen.
As the league continues to sit on the emails, more suspicion arises on how nothing concerning management for WFT was found, though the investigation was done solely on their franchise.
The bad press continued for the team with their decision to retire the late safety Sean Taylor’s jersey in a home game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Between family members not being notified and a lack of speakers or really any former presentation, the ceremony did not sit well with any football fans, who understand that the great Sean Taylor deserved much better. To a lot of people, this felt as a poor attempt to distract from the ongoing investigation news.
