Denver Broncos: 5 AFC Foes We Love to Hate

4. Joe Flacco, QB, Jets

I remember when I got super excited that the Denver Broncos traded for Joe Flacco before the 2019 season began.

It was another one of John Elway’s veteran experiments, which utterly failed.

Flacco was uninspiring, mediocre, and seemed to be an awful teammate.

He was so bad, in fact, that a rookie Drew Lock was able to lead the offense to an entire touchdown more per game when he played.  Flacco was an absolute statue in the pocket, causing the offensive line to have to work harder, and he quarterbacked the team to a 3-8 record before giving way to the rookie Lock.

Since then, Flacco has made stops on the Jets and Eagles in backup roles.

At this point, I think we all hate Joe Flacco.  What was supposed to be him in a game manager role turned into him being a giant liability for the franchise.  His tenure in Denver was a giant mistake and is something that should never happen again.

Hopefully, NFL teams can learn from the Denver Broncos and not start Joe Flacco as long as he remains in the league.
