How do you like being asked to jump right into the starting lineup the same week you are acquired in a trade?

That’s more than likely exactly what the Broncos are about to ask of Kenny Young, who was a starting linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams not even a week ago.

Young was second on the Rams in total tackles and first on the team in tackles for loss before the Broncos acquired him.

With Alexander Johnson joining Josey Jewell on the injured reserve list with a pectoral injury, the Broncos desperately need someone to come in and provide a spark at the linebacker position.

Young is a hard-nosed player with tremendous athleticism and a fearless, aggressive mentality at the linebacker position.

The Broncos’ defense right now needs a spark, which nobody really thought would be necessary considering the amount of talent this team has on that side of the ball.

Even if he only plays around 50 percent of the defensive snaps in this game (he’ll likely play more), Young is a player the Broncos really need to step up and make some plays in the middle of the defense.
