Like the Giants and the Dolphins, the Colts had high expectations coming into this year, but injuries and underperformances have gotten in the way.

Carson Wentz looks much better than he did last year, perhaps almost back to his days with the Eagles, but the usual strong offensive line has been a weak point and very injured.

The Colts also have serious depth issues, perhaps showing General Manager Chris Ballard that always sitting on a lot of cap space isn’t the best move.

It’s unfortunate because the AFC South is an extremely winnable division this year, and many of us saw the Colts as true contenders.

The Colts have some very winnable games coming up against the Texans, Jets, and Jaguars, so perhaps they will start to go on a run.

If not, look for Indy to retool their roster, add some depth, perhaps a free agent or two, and come back much stronger for 2022.
