59. . . . Miami Dolphins. 27. team

27. Miami Dolphins

In what was supposed to be a big year for Miami, the Dolphins now look like of the worst teams in the NFL.  Wait, they don’t look like one of the worst teams in the NFL, they are!

Miami is kind of an interesting story.  They surprised most of the league last year, going 10-6 with a mixture of Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tua Tagovailoa.  Their 2020 season, led by a competent offense and strong defense was supposed to carry over into 2021.

They clearly prioritized trying to improve the offense, with additions along the offensive line and at wide receiver, signing Will Fuller V and drafting Jaylen Waddle.

So far, that has netted the Dolphins next to nothing, as they rank 31st in the NFL in points per game and 30th in pass yards per game.

The defense hasn’t been much better either, ranking 30th in the NFL in points per game allowed.

Brian Flores clearly knows how to coach, as evidenced by last year and the second half of 2019, but it’s also clear that their 2021 season is shaping up to be a dud.

I’d look for them to bounce back in a big way for 2022, though.  Keep the faith, Dolphins fans.  It is going to get better.
