44. . . . Atlanta Falcons. 28. team

28. Atlanta Falcons

It seems like it’s been the same story with the Falcons every year since they made the Super Bowl.

Decent offense powered by Matt Ryan and an uninspiring defense.  I’m not exactly sure why they selected Kyle Pitts 4th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, considering Matt Ryan is 36 and surely isn’t playing for much longer.

They have much deeper issues than wanting to draft a unicorn at tight end, and it’s clear that their defense and offensive line lack talent, for starters.

The Falcons are actually 23rd in the NFL in total yards and 22nd in points. So what we’ve been used to with a good Falcons offense is now a bad Falcons offense and defense.

Arthur Smith is in his first year as head coach of the Falcons, along with their new General Manager, Terry Fontenot.  It’s clear that the Falcons are on the cusp of a complete rebuild, and I’d expect them to move on from Matt Ryan within the next two seasons.

Whatever happens after that is a total mystery, though.
