9. team. 53. . . . Cleveland Browns

9. Cleveland Browns

The Browns, led by Baker Mayfield and the best backfield in the NFL, just lost a shootout to the Los Angeles Chargers.

The thing with the Browns is they’ll go as far as Baker Mayfield will take them.

Baker hasn’t looked as good this year as he did last, and perhaps that’s due to Jarvis Landry missing time.

The defense looks to be decent, and the offense has been inconsistent.  The Browns will keep winning games, simply because their entire roster is stacked, and I don’t think they have a true hole on the team, but Baker Mayfield will need to play a little better if the Browns want to remain competitive into the postseason.

They play the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, and if the Browns can win that game, perhaps we’ll start to think of them differently, but it’s a very real possibility that they will sit at 3-3 in a couple of days.

The Ravens appear to be the frontrunners in the AFC North, so the Browns may have to settle for a Wild Card berth.
