NFL Power Rankings: Broncos stock falling badly into crucial Week 6
12. Tennessee Titans
The Titans are 3-2 after 5 games but are another confusing team. They lost in overtime to the lowly New York Jets, but have a solid comeback win against the Seattle Seahawks.
The Titans are another team I’m not sure I can trust later in the season; Ryan Tannehill hasn’t been as efficient through the air in year one with Todd Downing, and the Titans’ defense isn’t good, especially along the secondary.
The trio of Derrick Henry, Julio Jones, and AJ Brown is one of the best offensive core players in the NFL, so they will have success, but I think it’s just a matter of how far Ryan Tannehill and their defense can take them.
In the bad AFC South, the Titans will surely win the division and secure a home playoff game, so as long as they don’t combust, they’ll win 9 or 10 games and lock in yet another playoff spot.
11. Denver Broncos
Some may place the Denver Broncos lower, but Denver features one of the most talented and deepest rosters in the NFL.
It looks like they’re about to get Ronald Darby back, and Jerry Jeudy may only be a few more weeks away from returning, which would then pave the way for Bradley Chubb to return later in the season.
The Broncos do have a tougher stretch of games coming up; they started 3-0 with wins over the Giants, Jaguars, and Jets, but dropped two straight against the Ravens and Steelers.
With a huge matchup against the Raiders on Sunday, the Broncos are going to need to play their best game of the season if they want to keep pace in the AFC West and playoff race.
People like to point to the Broncos not having a decent quarterback, but Teddy Bridgewater has been very efficient this year, and he’s on pace to throw for 24 touchdowns to just 3 interceptions.
If the Broncos can beat the Raiders, starting 4-2 gives them a very solid chance to make the playoffs come January.
