42. . . . San Francisco 49ers. 16. team

16. San Francisco 49ers

Outside of a Super Bowl appearance in 2019, the Kyle Shanahan/Jimmy Garoppolo/John Lynch era has yielded underwhelming results and a metric ton of injuries.

I’m no expert, but isn’t it reasonable to think that the 49ers are doing something wrong within their training and conditioning if they keep suffering all of these injuries?

The 49ers decided they needed more juice from the quarterback position, so they traded up to select Trey Lance in the 2021 NFL Draft.  Both Lance and Jimmy G are nursing injuries though.

In the tough NFC West, the 49ers seem like, yet again, they may be on the outside looking in, mainly due to injuries.

Their roster is crazy talented, and they have a very good coach, but it never seems like they can put it all together.

Kyle Shanahan isn’t on the hot seat, but it’s interesting to see their lack of overall success outside of one season.
