The AFC West is wide open

The Broncos are 3-0, but so are the Las Vegas Raiders. The Los Angeles Chargers look like a solid team as well at 2-1. But most people, if they were betting money, would still put their money on the Kansas City Chiefs to win the division, despite a 1-2 start.

It’s just three weeks into the season, but the fact that the Broncos already have a two-game lead on the Chiefs is exciting. Kansas City is certainly going to have to earn it if they are to win the division for a sixth straight year.

The Chargers, with Justin Herbert and a more-than-capable offense, are going to be a difficult out for anyone and though it’s easy to make our favorite Jon Gruden or Derek Carr jokes, the Raiders look legit.

So what does it all come down to?

There are still many games to play and it’s hard to say which team will win the division crown, but it seems clear that the AFC West is as good as any division in football.

For Denver in the immediate future, the Week 6 home game with the Raiders is already starting to loom large.
