Depth is holding up

Luckily for the Broncos, the depth has held its own in light of all of these injuries.

Injuries are going to happen in today’s league and having adequate depth is a must for all teams. The Broncos have lost some key players, but the guys who have had to come in and play more snaps have stepped up.

Malik Reed is a tremendous asset for the team and with as much as he has had to play in place of Von Miller and Chubb in recent years, he might as well be considered a starter.

Patrick Surtain is living up to his high draft status in relief of Darby and Tim Patrick has been as good as any pass-catcher on the team.

When the season started, Patrick was considered the No. 4 wide receiver on the depth chart but he has become a favorite of Bridgewater and should be in this team’s plans for some time to come. Prior to the start of the season, his name was connected to many other teams in trade talks but the Broncos shouldn’t even be listening to any of those at this point.

Netane Muti and rookie Quinn Meinerz have had to play on the offensive line and Justin Strnad is now getting a look with Jewell down. The Broncos have a great future and though some of these guys had to take the field before they probably wanted them to, they are showing their worth.
