Injuries are a growing concern

The Broncos have won all of their games, but they have lost players due to significant injuries in each game.

In Week 1, Jerry Jeudy and Ronald Darby both went down. In Week 2, it was Bradley Chubb and Josey Jewell. At that time, I asked if injuries were a concern. Now that K.J. Hamler has been lost for the season, it seems that there is no doubt that they are.

The Broncos simply can’t afford to have injuries happening at this rate. That’s because no other team can either. Jeudy and Chubb are expected back this season and Darby should return to the field very soon, but the team can’t take too many more hits, particularly at the wide receiver position.

As of right now, the Broncos have 16 players who are either on injured reserve or the PUP list. Though several of them will have a chance to play this year, that is a high number after just three games.

There are still 14 games to go.

Often, the healthiest teams are the ones that go deep in the playoffs and make a push for the Super Bowl. The Broncos need some better luck on their side when it comes to injuries the rest of this year.
