The Denver Broncos have a golden opportunity to start the 2021 season with a 3-0 record. Here are 5 players that need to step up big vs. the Jets.

If recent history is any indicator or predictor of the Denver Broncos’ future, then a 3-0 start to the 2021 season could mean big things over the course of the season. The last time the Denver Broncos were 3-0 to start a season was the 2016 campaign, the Super Bowl 50 hangover year when they won nine games.

In 2015, the Denver Broncos started 3-0 and won 12 games, 11 by a touchdown or less.

In 2013, the Broncos started 3-0 and won 13 regular-season games.

What will the fate of the 2021 squad be?

A lot could depend on this game ending in a Denver Broncos victory. Before the 2021 season even started, the New York Jets home opener was circled as a game the Denver Broncos definitely should win.

The Jets are 0-2 to start the season and have played hard for new head coach Robert Saleh, which surprises absolutely no one.

As hard as Saleh’s Jets will undoubtedly play to get their first win of the 2021 season, the Denver Broncos have a chance to get to 3-0 for the first time since that 2016 campaign. A 3-0 start would be an enormous advantage over the course of the year and would give at least a little room for error.

You hate to be so hot-button or hot-takey at this time of the year, but this is a must-win game for the Denver Broncos and they need a lot of key players to step up big. Here are my picks.
