The Denver Broncos will face a rookie quarterback with both Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the field.
Trevor Lawrence will start his first ever game at TIAA Bank Field for the Jacksonville Jaguars and as if getting comfortable with the speed, timing and everything else that comes with learning at the professional level, Lawrence must now worry about one of the best pass-rushing duos the league has to offer.
The Broncos put out their list of gameday inactives and unlike the season opener, Chubb is not on the list.
There are no real surprises this week including the fact that Graham Glasgow, who was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat following the team’s Week 1 win over the New York Giants, is officially out for the game.
That means that Netane Muti will get the start.
It remains unclear how much time Glasgow will end up missing, so this will be a big game for the young Muti.
As for Chubb, it will be his first action of the season and the first time he and Miller have been on the field at the same time since September 29, 2019, nearly two full years ago.
The Broncos also recently called up both offensive lineman Austin Schlottman and running back Damarea Crockett from the practice squad ahead of this game. Schlottman will be there for depth in case of injury and Crockett will play special teams.
In that game, which just happened to be against the Jags, the two players combined for 13 tackles and three sacks. Gardner Minshew was the quarterback on that day and still guided the Jaguars to a win, but Lawrence will be under attack on Sunday.
