Denver Broncos rookie stock watch vs. Jaguars

5. Caden Sterns, S

Stock: UP

With Ronald Darby out injured, the Denver Broncos worked in both Caden Sterns and Nate Hairston this past week at practice in the dime role.

Although it might only be a handful of plays, we might get the chance to see Sterns take the field defensively this week after he played just 10 special teams snaps against the Giants.

This is definitely something fun to watch for.

6. Jamar Johnson, S

Stock: DOWN

Barring something unexpected, Jamar Johnson will not be active again this week. If he gets on the field, it will be in a special teams only role.

7. Jonathon Cooper, EDGE

Stock: UP

We can’t let Pat Surtain take all of the credit for the touchdown to Sterling Shepard. Watch the tape and you’ll see Jonathon Cooper get absolutely blown up on a pass pro rep by Giants running back Devontae Booker.

Still, after playing 17 defensive snaps and 12 special teams snaps, Cooper was the most utilized Denver Broncos rookie in week one besides Javonte Williams. His stock is trending up.

8. Kary Vincent Jr., CB

Stock: DOWN

Despite some injuries at cornerback, the Denver Broncos are understandably slow-playing things with Kary Vincent Jr.

The fact that the team promoted Nate Hairston to the 53-man roster indicates that Vincent will continue to be kept on ice.
