Denver Broncos rookie stock report vs. Jaguars

3. Quinn Meinerz, offensive line

Stock: Down

Quinn Meinerz is listed on the Denver Broncos’ depth chart as both a backup guard and center.

With Graham Glasgow out for week two and potentially longer, there’s a chance that Meinerz could just be one snap away from action.

The Broncos, however, promoted Austin Schlottmann to the active roster for this game and that would seem to indicate that if anything happens to any of the interior linemen, he could be the first one called upon rather than the rookie Meinerz.

We’ll have to see to know for sure, but Schlottmann’s promotion for this week makes it a safe bet we’ll have to continue to wait to see anything from Meinerz.

4. Baron Browning, linebacker

Stock: Slightly down

If you blinked, you would have missed Browning’s four special teams snaps in week one.

It was not surprising that he didn’t play any defensive snaps considering how much Vic Fangio likes to keep his more experienced players on the field a higher percentage of the time, but it was a little disappointing to not see him at all in a game where Bradley Chubb didn’t play.

Against the Jaguars, there’s a chance Chubb could play which would again limit the chances we’d see Browning at all defensively.

If the Denver Broncos feel like getting a little creative, they could use Browning as a blitzer or off the edge instead of just on special teams.
