5 Denver Broncos players who must step up vs. Jaguars

4. Kendall Hinton, WR

You’d better believe we’re going to talk some Kendall Hinton in this kind of post.

The Denver Broncos made the somewhat surprising decision to keep just four true receivers on the active 53-man roster.

With the injury to Jerry Jeudy, they are really down to three.

With all due respect to Diontae Spencer, one of the top return specialists in the game, the Denver Broncos had to make a move to replace Jeudy on the active roster and many fans were surprised it wasn’t one of Tyrie Cleveland or Seth Williams.

I, however, was not surprised in the least.

Although these players are expected to float around the formation, the Denver Broncos used Jerry Jeudy mostly out of the slot in week one. The only true slot player on the practice squad is Kendall Hinton, who was labeled by head coach Vic Fangio as one of the most improved players on the entire team after OTAs.

Although Hinton didn’t make a huge splash in the preseason, it will be fascinating to see what he can do rotating in at Jeudy’s spot.

The lion’s share of snaps will obviously be going to Courtland Sutton, Tim Patrick, and KJ Hamler, but don’t be surprised if you see Hinton get out there and make some plays.
