The defense looks as advertised

The strength of any team led by Fangio should be the defense and that appears to be the case with this team.

After loading up in the secondary and re-signing Shelby Harris in free agency, the team then drafted Patrick Surtain and Baron Browning in the first three rounds. It was clear the team wanted to win with its defense and that is what it intends to do.

The Giants really had one big play in this game and that was Jones’ 37-yard touchdown pass to Sterling Shepard. The other points they scored meant nothing as they came on the last play of the game in garbage time.

In addition to Miller, Ronald Darby and Kyle Fuller both looked good. Justin Simmons was solid as always and Shelby Harris made some nice plays. Josey Jewell looked good as well.

This defense is no slouch and has all of the ability to be at the top of the ranks in all statistical categories this year.

And if you’re a fantasy football player or play daily fantasy, here’s a quick tip. Use the Broncos defense next Sunday. They play the Jacksonville Jaguars.
