The Denver Broncos are just days away from kickoff of what will be one of the more important seasons for the franchise in recent memory.

On top of trying to end a long playoff drought, the Broncos will have a new starting quarterback in Teddy Bridgewater and the team could be fighting for the job of head coach Vic Fangio. Things get underway this Sunday against the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.

The Broncos are currently favored to win the game, but these are two teams that have been down for awhile so it’s hard to know what to expect. It’s fair to say that many fans and those in the media won’t expect much out of this contest.

But for Broncos fans, there are several intriguing storylines to follow during the game as we kick off a brand new season of Denver Broncos football.

A key for this Broncos team will be getting back Von Miller and Courtland Sutton, two of the best and most important players on the team. Both of them missed basically all of last season, so fans will be eager to see them on the field.

Miller will be 32 years old and due to the fact that he hasn’t reached double digits in sacks since the 2018 season, there are many players listed ahead of him when the talk of best pass-rushers in the league is had.

Miller needs to re-establish himself this year.

For Sutton, he has the ability to be one of the game’s more dominant wide receivers, but there are some who are already suggesting that Jerry Jeudy is the team’s real No.1 wide receiver. Together, the two can definitely be a problem but the Broncos need to have them together on the field, much as they do Miller and Bradley Chubb.

It will be interesting to see how both of these guys look in Week 1 against the Giants.
